The Tenuta di Carleone Chianti Classico is a standout "new wave" Sangiovese crafted by Sean O’Callaghan (known as Il Guercio). This wine is celebrated for its "Burgundian" elegance—focusing on transparency, high-altitude freshness, and a complete lack of new oak. Tasting Note: Vintage after vintage, Carleone Chianti Classico is always one of our favourite wines. The long maceration and lack of oak make for a deeply complex wine that is elegant and though provoking. The nose has hint of rose petal with a red fruit character that really comes through on the palate, red cherry in particular. The finish is long and rewarding.
