The White 'Biancomargherita' from Cantine Viola is a wine from the Monti di Orsomarso, the southernmost area of the Lucanian Apennines. It is produced with local white grapes, Guarnaccia and Mantonico, which macerate for a few hours on the skins. A small percentage of the wine then matures in barrel: a process aimed at giving structure and complexity. On the nose, it offers a fresh and fine bouquet, enveloped by citrus notes with iodine hints on the finish. On the palate, it is decidedly fresh and savory, with clear persistence.
