Maxime Graillot is the young owner of the Domaine des Lises. A small wine farm with 4 hectares of vineyard. After many years of working in the family business, the son of the legendary Alain Graillot has decided to make his own wine. He bought a 4-hectare vineyard very close to his father. The yield is (deliberately) very low and no pesticides are used. The Domaine Lises Duo is a more than excellent wine, the grapes come from vineyards located at the foot of the hill of Hermitage, one of the most famous vineyards in the world and the price / quality of this Crozes Hermitage is unprecedentedly good. Traditional vinification, hand-picked, destemmed and selected grapes which are aged for 2 years in 1-2 year old French oak. Only a small percentage gets new wood. All this to let the fruit predominate in this naturally powerful wine. We work biologically The Domaine des Lises Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is a blend of 70% Marsanne & 30% Roussanne coming from 40+ year old vines located on a rocky gravel terroir. We only work with native yeast and without malolactic fermentation. The grapes are fermented and matured in 50% 1-year-old Burgundy barrels and 50% stainless steel. This great white Crozes Hermitage is light yellow-gold yellow in color, floral in the scent with some almond, anise and a little peach. Round in the taste, filming with stimulating acidity, pleasant bitterness, juicy stone fruit, slightly peppery and a beautiful, refined aftertaste
