- Description
Château Hosanna comes from the stable of Moueix - yes, where Chateau Petrus also belongs. They are convinced that Hosanna has the potential to become the Cheval Blanc of his stable. Partly as a result of the more than 40 year old Cabernet Franc vines comparable to those of Cheval Blanc in Saint-Emilion. The 2021 Hosanna is one of the stronger wines from Pomerol in this 2021 vintage. The bouquet comes out of the glass exuberantly with energetic black fruit. Quite peppery and almost wild in character, with hints of menthol that emerge after some aeration. The palate is medium-bodied and shows lush black fruit, infused with white pepper, thyme and graphite - the latter in particular is clearly noticeable in the finish. After about five minutes in the glass, the wine settles down. An impressive Pomerol. About the Moueix family Christian Moueix and his family are household names in the wine world, particularly in the Bordeaux region.
