EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT VALID UNTIL 31/12/2026 - DELIVERY SPRING 2027 Château Haut-Brion and the origin of Le Clarence Le Clarence de Haut-Brion is the second wine of the famous Château Haut-Brion, located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation in Bordeaux. Founded in the 16th century, Château Haut-Brion has been owned by the Dillon family since 1935. Le Clarence was introduced in 2007 as the successor to Haut-Brion Rouge's second label, featuring a distinct identity that exudes finesse and the signature of the terroir. The wine is made from the estate's younger vines, with the same meticulous vinification as the Grand Vin. Climate and growing conditions in the 2024 harvest year The 2024 vintage experienced a cool growing season, preceded by a mild, wet winter. Early bud formation was delayed by persistent rain, resulting in more even growth. During the summer, leaf removal and other vineyard management measures were implemented to promote air circulation around the bunches. In early September, a dry northeasterly wind helped improve grape ripening. The harvest of the red grapes took place between September 17 and October 4, with strict selection based on the ripeness and health of the bunches. Grape varieties, blend and vinification of Le Clarence 2024 The blend of Le Clarence de Haut-Brion Rouge 2024 consists of 45.7% Merlot, 32.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 22% Cabernet Franc. The provisional alcohol content is 13.1%. The wine was vinified with the same precision as the Grand Vin but ages in a lower proportion of new oak: 31%. The greater presence of Merlot and Cabernet Franc gives Le Clarence its charm, freshness, and earlier accessibility. Color, aroma and taste of Le Clarence de Haut-Brion Rouge 2024 The wine has a vibrant garnet color. The bouquet is ethereal, pure, and attractive, with aromas of red fruit, violets, and fine spices. Cabernet Franc contributes to the floral freshness and elegance. On the palate, the wine starts powerful and deep. The structure is broad, with a velvety tannin texture and a layered complexity that will develop further during barrel aging. Le Clarence 2024 is like a restrained power: compact and refined at the same time, with a promising future. Order Haut Brion wines online?
