2024 Antinori Bramito Castello della Sala Chardonnay

Antinori's most popular white restaurant wine is this superb Chardonnay. Made in Burgundy style and also known as "Baby Cervaro." This 100% Chardonnay from the renowned Super Tuscan producer Antinori is a golden-yellow wine with a bouquet of summer fruit and a pure Chardonnay character, with lovely hints of vanilla. The palate is soft, beautifully balanced, and has a refined structure. The vines (100% Chardonnay) are planted at an altitude of 200 to 400 meters. The soil is primarily clay with fossils. After harvest, the wine's first fermentation takes place in steel vats, at a controlled temperature of no more than 10°C. After a few hours of fermentation, the must and skins are placed in French oak barriques for further fermentation and aging. After 5-7 months, the wine is ready for bottling. The name Bramito means "the roar of the stag in the Bronze Age." Cervo is the Italian word for stag.
