Château Langoa Barton is a Troisième Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Julien. Of all the Grands Crus Classés in the 1855 Médoc classification, Château Langoa Barton is the only estate that is still owned by the same family as back then. The wine is a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The 2023 Langoa Barton is a highly successful wine, in which the family's new winery has ensured more precise, plot-by-plot vinification and a gentler treatment of the fruit to deliver a wine with all the usual intensity of flavour of this estate, but with more finesse and refinement. Swirling in the glass with aromas of dark berries, cassis, and plums mingled with hints of pencil shavings and dried rose petals, it is medium to full-bodied, with an inky core of fruit, lively acidity, and plenty of silky, structuring tannins.
