Since its takeover in 1995 by Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, chateau Giscours with its fantastic terroir has made a comeback. The domain covers more than 80 hectares of vineyard and produces a very reliable but above all classic Margaux with a lot of depth. The Giscours is a beautiful vintage. In the glass it has a beautiful dark purple color - The 2020 Giscours is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with beautiful notes of espresso, red fruit, (cherry, raspberry) licorice, leather and has a very refined scent of flowers and fruit with non-dominant but beautifully present oak notes.
