From 2018 there is a beautiful third wine from Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou, coming from the vineyards of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. This new wine comes from the grapes of the vineyards that Bruno Borie's family owns in Saint Julien. It is a worthy replacement for Château Lalande Borie, which is no longer on the market and is replaced by Le Petit Ducru. The intention is that it is a first approximation of the qualities of the two larger wines "La Croix de Beaucaillou" and "Château Ducru Beaucaillou". There is a family bond, a kind of similarity between these three nectars. They have the following in common: a rigorous technique, a drastic selection and a demanding vinification. This wine matures for 12 months in 1/3 new oak barrels. It shines with its fine structure, its complexity within a beautiful balance and has a lot of elegance in the fruit. In the glass, the Petit Ducru has a beautiful dark ruby red color. on the nose mainly fresh red fruit, herbs and some cedar wood and leather. In the mouth the wine is medium to full-bodied, wonderfully juicy and with good structure. It is a very nice example of how this Petitg Ducru Saint Julien combines a certain power with lots of fruit, elegance and finesse. Our advice is to decant and give air in his younger years (93-4/100 Suckling). FACT: In the 'Attachments' tab you will find the official fact sheet of this beautiful wine.
