Le Serre Nuove 2023 is a Bolgheri Rosso produced by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, made by blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, and was grown in the reddish sand and clay soils of the Tuscany coastal region. Although there was a risk of downy mildew during the 2023 growing season, the steady coastal breezes helped mitigate the problem. Following a dry period in August and a rainless period in September, the grapes ripened evenly; the harvest timing was carefully adjusted to avoid overripening, resulting in a wine that beautifully showcases its freshness. Olga Fusari oversees winemaking at this winery. This wine is best enjoyed through 2045. It can be enjoyed immediately after decanting for about an hour, but the tannins will become more harmoniously integrated with further bottle aging
