2019 Bouchard Père & Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Magnum

From the private vineyard of Bouchard Père & Fils in Corton-Charlemagne comes this great wine. It is one of the greatest white Burgundies and is very rare. The wine has intense aromas of fruit and toast with hints of minerality. The taste is powerfully full and the aftertaste is long and impressive. The Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru reveals an attractive bouquet of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, spring flowers and pastry cream. On the palate the wine is full, elegantly bright and precise, with a fleshy core of fruit tempered by firm acidity, ending with a delicately chalky finish. This is a charming, expressive Corton-Charlemagne in the making. 94/100 Parker and 96/100 Suckling. Drinking window is until 2050+ and this is a scarce 1.5 litre magnum edition in a handsome wooden box.
