2019 Hahn Smith & Hook Cabernet Sauvignon

In 1980, Nicky and Gaby Hahn purchased a horse and cattle ranch in the highlands of Monterey County. The ranches, Smith and Hook, had been home to grazing cattle for generations and were then transformed into premium vineyards. When they purchased the property, the first (estate) Monterey County Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were harvested for wine. Hahn Estate - The cool-climate wines from Monterey County. This Cabernet Sauvignon is the Estate wine of Hahn. It is a beautiful and sturdy Cabernet. This Smith & Hook has a bouquet with notes of mocha, coffee, toasted oak, vanilla, blackcurrant and licorice. Extensive flavors and the round, viscous mouthfeel supported by a concentrated tannin structure with a smooth, lush finish.
