From the very first moment, the bouquet reveals intense aromas of noble rot – the hallmark of top-quality botrytis. These aromas are reminiscent of candied lemon and pear, as well as orange marmalade. Subtle floral notes of lime blossom and frangipane blend with this fruity character, enriched by the sweetness of blooming lily of the valley. The aroma of almond and pastry promises a rich taste experience. The palate is lively with candied fruit flavors, strongly reminiscent of apricot jam. Château d'Yquem 2022 is rich and concentrated, coating the palate with notes of beeswax, caramel, and quince paste. Its powdery texture is long-lasting, supported by a hint of saltiness and a refined bitterness in the finish—which further enhances Yquem's signature candied bitter orange character.
