Valdesil pays homage to the River Sil, the backbone of Galicia, which forms a narrow valley as it flows through Valdeorras. A pioneering and revolutionary wine in Spain, the first white wine to be aged on its lees in steel tanks. It is made exclusively with grapes from vineyards owned by the Prada-Gayoso family, located on schist rock, located in the parishes of Portela (San Xulián) and Córgomo (Santa Marta), in the municipality of Vilamartín de Valdeorras. The vineyards are managed according to the rhythm of the plants and a vegetative cover is maintained throughout the year, guaranteeing a living soil without erosion. The Valdesil Godello Asadoira Sobre Lias is a 100% Godello of a single vineyard of less than 3.93HA located on schist soil in the place of the same name on the slopes of the Sil valley in Valdeorras. The wine is only made in top years and the 2022 is the 4th edition of this wine and is the successor to the 2020. Only around 900 bottles are made. This is elegance with a capital E. The Asadoira shows the characteristics of the slate soils with its delicate citrus and mineral notes, very elegant, followed by aromas of delicate stone fruit, interspersed with spicy notes of fennel and notes of aging on the fine yeast. In the mouth it shows an extraordinary balance, with a medium to high body, unctuous and an excellent structure based on its acidity and its powerful minerality. a wine that can age beautifully
