The Proprietary Red Continuum is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot, 9% Merlot. In the glass, this masterpiece is colored deep garnet purple. On the nose an incredible array of seductive aromas of violet, lavender, rose hips, cherry, currant, dark chocolate, cigar box plus hints of bay leaves and a kind of crushed wet slate. On the palate the wine is full-bodied with vibrant black fruit. fueled by red fruit, spices and mineral accents. It is framed with firm, grainy, super ripe tannins and finishes with fantastic fragrance and freshness. This is (once again) a masterpiece by Tim Mondavi and his team and is a wine that can age gracefully without any problems. If you wish to drink this at short notice, we recommend that you decant it so that the wine can show its true character. You can age this wine for at least 30+ years.
