The vineyards entitled to the Champagne appellation are spread over 319 municipalities. Only 17 of these municipalities are entitled to the Grand Cru appellation because their terroir is of the highest quality. The grapes from those terroirs are very popular, rare and relatively expensive. They are used almost exclusively in the composition of the Cuvée prestige wines of the major champagne houses. The Champagne Mailly Grand Cru Brut Rosé de Mailly is made from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. The wine is rosé in color with a nice mousse. The wine shows beautiful aromas of red fruit, red currants, raspberries and strawberries fill the nose and mouth. A generous structure and delicate mousse please the aftertaste
