2023 Bogle Vineyard Zinfandel Old Vines

The Bogle family has been active in agriculture for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, grapes have also been grown in the Californian wine region of Clarksburg and later also Lodi. The Zinfandel grapes come from vineyards in Lodi and Amador County. The vineyards are on average between 60-80 years old, hence the name Old Vines. The Zinfandel grapes have spent 12 months in second-year American oak. The Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel is juicy with sweet ripe fruit and a characterful texture with harmonious tannins and a beautiful long spicy finish. In the glass the Zinfandel has an intense ruby color with firm tears; striking spicy nose with black plums and meaty smoked undertones. The Bogle Zinfandel is a powerful wine with complex aromas of pomegranate, pepper and anise.
