2025 Puglia Pop Negroamaro Triglia Rosé

The Triglia rosé from Puglia Pop is a special rosé made from 10-35 year old Negroamaro vines with a maximum yield of 2 kg per plant. The vineyard is located in the Itria Valley, one of the few hilly areas in Puglia where the temperature difference between day and night ensures beautiful acidity. Consequently, this wine offers versatility and balance in the glass, allowing for interesting food and wine pairings. The entirely manual harvest of the Negroamaro begins in mid-October, after which alcoholic fermentation starts for 10 to 15 days with naturally occurring yeasts in clay amphorae. During fermentation, there is also a short maceration to extract all flavor and color from the skins. This is important to give the wine its characteristic aromatic and refined aromas. This is followed by bottling in particularly innovative bottles, where the wine undergoes further bottle aging before being released onto the market. This highly innovative bottle is special because it insulates the wine 45% better against temperature fluctuations and protects it 100% against light than a standard wine bottle. As a result, the wine stays good for longer, and you drink the wine as the winemaker intended, without adverse external influences. Furthermore, the bottle is 100% recyclable and contributes to social projects in Puglia. The Triglia has a beautiful soft pink color. Elegant aroma with notes of ripe fruit such as cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and pink grapefruit. On the palate, fresh and fruity with delicate fruit aromas such as strawberry and pomegranate, followed by floral aromas of geranium and wild rose. Combined with the lovely acidity and minerality, this wine is a complete experience. A delicious wine that becomes even more complex after a year or two.
