  • Description
The Lété-Vautrain Champagne Rosé Royal is a refined rosé champagne from the Champagne region of France. This cuvée is composed of 60% Meunier, 20% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, with 15% red wine from Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes added to obtain the rosé color and depth. The champagne matures for four years in the cellars, which contributes to its complexity and refinement. With a dosage of 5 g/l and an alcohol percentage of 12.5%, this wine offers a harmonious balance between freshness and fullness. On tasting, the sparkling salmon pink colour stands out. The bouquet opens with floral notes of rose and develops into more complex aromas of fresh grapes and small red fruits. The full flavour palette reveals hints of raspberry and wild strawberry, with fine tannins that ensure a smooth finish. 91/100 Suckling. This cuvée is ideal as an aperitif and combines perfectly with a strawberry or fresh fruit salad. The recommended serving temperature is between 8°C and 10°C to fully enjoy the flavours. About Lété-Vautrain The story of Champagne Lété-Vautrain begins in 1968 in Château-Thierry, when Robert Lété and his wife Liliane Vautrain founded the family business. Over the years, they planted small plots of vines on their original 0.4 hectare plot. The vineyard gradually grew to its current 7.5 hectares. Their daughter Michèle and son Frédéric took over the business and further developed the vineyard. The estate is located in the Vallée de la Marne, an area with characteristic sandy and clay soils. They also own two historic vineyards in the village of Leuvrigny, near Epernay. The champagnes come from their own vineyards and in line with tradition in the Marne Valley, Pinot Meunier is always the most dominant grape. Lété-Vautrain is incomparable to many (mass) commercial champagne houses that in many cases do not even own the vineyards, but buy the grapes and are dependent on contract farmers for their grapes. This aspect has an influence on the exclusivity and character of the champagne. Lété-Vautrain is a "Récoltant-Manipulant" (RM), meaning that the house grows, harvests and vinifies the grapes into champagne itself. This is different from "Négociant-Manipulant" (NM) houses, who buy grapes or base wine from other winegrowers to produce their champagnes. Advantages of own vineyards include: - Full control over quality – From the cultivation of the grapes to the final production, the house determines the quality and style of the champagne. - Unique terroir – By managing its own vineyards, a Champagne house can exploit the unique characteristics of the terroir and create a distinctive flavour. - Authenticity and identity – The champagne from a house with its own vineyards is an authentic product, which bears a clear signature of the domain
