2024 Bogle Vineyard Chardonnay

The Bogle family has been active in agriculture for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, they have also been growing grapes in the Californian wine region of Clarksburg and, later, Lodi. Part of the wine ferments in new oak barrels; part ages 'sur lie' and part undergoes malolactic fermentation. All in all, an (affordable) textbook example of Californian Chardonnay. In the glass, the wine is golden yellow with thick tears. The Bogle Chardonnay has typical apple and pear flavors, and you also taste vanilla due to the oak aging. The oak-aged wine is beautifully full and creamy and has a delicious, long finish. Bogle is certified by various organizations: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate, and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.
