Les Roncières is a 1er Cru vineyard located in Nuits Saint Georges. In 2024, Jean Grivot produced a medium-bodied Pinot Noir from grapes grown here, featuring aromas of red fruit reminiscent of brambles, with hints of earth and stone. On the palate, it is smooth and refreshing, with delicate flavors and a bright acidity that brings vibrancy, followed by a soft, lingering finish. During the 2024 growing season in France, extreme heat and drought persisted through June and July, and some wildfires spread as far as Burgundy. Some organic producers struggled to achieve double-digit yields in hl/ha. Grivot utilizes old vines, native yeasts, and organic farming methods, while in plots such as Richebourg, Échezeaux, Beaux Monts, and Suchots, they use horses to plow the fields to minimize impact on the soil. Once fermentation begins, they do not perform punch-down (the process of pressing down the cap).This wine is best enjoyed between 2028 and 2040. If opening a young bottle, it is recommended to decant it for about an hour
