The Gourmet is a Gift basket which is frequently one of the top sellers every year because it has a little bit of everything that people want, but isnt overflowing with things that people don't appreciate. The centrepiece of the design has always been about not cutting corners by reducing sizes or weights. Shrinkflation was never an option with us because many of our suppliers are smaller producers so whilst re-packaging and re-tooling makes sense when you are selling large volumes into the mass market, it simply isnt worth it for smaller producers. Thus we arrive in 2026 with a Gourmet Gift Basket, which is twice the price that it started out at in 2003, but has full sized components. Additionally it benefits from arriving in a more aesthetically pleasing basket where quality has been enshrined through brand standardisation and quality control programmes. The Cheeses are Irish versions of Red Leicester and Mellow Gloucestershire or Vintage Cheddar. Dependent upon production runs, the flavours will vary during the year according to supply from the Farm. Whilst the most popular choice of wine is Shiraz, the Gourmet Gift Basket can be modified to meet the demands of the Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Grenache drinker.
