The Mount Fuji distillery, which is none other than the Kirin distillery renamed to pay tribute to its illustrious 12 km neighbour, Mount Fuji, is launching its first Single Grain.
With its expertise as a distiller of grain whiskies (Fuji Single Grain 25 years old was voted best Single Grain in the world in 2019), the Mount Fuji distillery has blended 3 types of grain whiskies: light (distilled in column), medium (distilled in Batch Kettle) and intense (distilled in Doubler stills, usually found only in Bourbon distilleries)Its goal: to reach the perfect balance between light and cereal notes, and rich and intense aromas. This goal was achieved, punctuated by a very nice harmony to which the Master Blender Jota Tanaka had already accustomed us.
