Osmanthus heterophyllus, commonly known as False Holly, is an elegant evergreen shrub or small tree prized for its dense foliage, refined growth habit, and year-round visual interest. Its leaves are thick, leathery, and holly-like, often featuring sharp, irregular spines when young that gradually soften and smooth out as the plant matures. The foliage ranges from deep glossy green to subtly variegated depending on the cultivar, creating a textured canopy ideal for ornamental shaping or bonsai refinement. In autumn, the tree produces clusters of small, delicate white flowers that are highly fragrant, releasing a sweet, jasmine-like scent. Keep outdoors
